The aft deck is taking shape on the new Hunt 80. The main engines and generators will soon pass through the deck hatch for installation in the engine room directly below. A cockpit al fresco dining area will be created aft by the forward-facing settee (top area of photo) and a similar aft-facing unit that will be placed near the engine room hatch. Outboard to either side are engine room inlet plenums hidden inside the integral storage cabinets (white) seen here. The area is well protected from rain and sun by the hardtop extension overhead.

The aft fire station will contain a hose reel/hose with nozzle. Note the wide sidedecks for comfortable and safe access topside.

Seakeeper gyro stabilizers minimize rolling motion at sea and at anchor, creating a comfortable and safe family environment on the water. The Hunt 80 deep-V hull has minimal tophamper by design, and the Seakeepers make the already gentle rough-water offshore platform kinder still.

The full-beam master stateroom is located in the center of the hull, down low, where pitching motion is diminished and roll is barely noticeable. Plenty of storage space is provided by built-in cabinets and dressers, seen here. Large, opening hull side windows provide an excellent view while letting in plenty of sunlight and fresh air.

The Hunt 80 is taking shape on the outside, too. Hull and topside fairing is well underway and the bottom is receiving its multi-step sealing and anti-fouling coating system.
